he is the goat all the homies love him. has an accent but isnt that thick. if youre confused go to office hours. hes like organic chemistry tutor but irl and better. super clear and super helpful. class was very reasonably paced and he was extremely reasonable with the exams (made last question of final extra cred bc barely anyone got it)

Ashwin was a nice professor but his tests were SO DIFFICULT. There was truly nothing that could honestly prepare you for the midterms and final, besides just having a really good grasp of the concepts. He does curve heavily to compensate for this (10% in my class). Still... if you need a good background in calc do not choose him.

The final was HARD. But Professor Ashwin has been an amazing lecturer throughout the year. He responds to emails and online forum questions super fast and he is always helpful during office hours. A friend of mine was not able to attend his office hour and he went above and beyond to offer a Zoom meeting OUTSIDE his normal office hour to help her.

Took calc in HS and can say that prof overcomplicates simple topics. The few examples in lecture are much harder than the actual homework. Lectures are also hard to follow along with. Tests were difficult but not impossible other than one or two questions that throws everyone off. However, exam averages were F's. He was also rude imo.

I came into Math 3B with only an H Pre-Calc background and found this course much too difficult. I used Khan Academy for most of this class because I couldn't retain any information he taught. I studied for hours on end for his class. Also, his exams are way too difficult, the average on the midterm was 54% and 62% for the final. So disappointed.

Took calculus in high school and understood it fine. This class is very confusing for no reason, avoid it with this professor at all costs.
