The class is not difficult, and the material is mostly straight forward. However, she is insanely difficult to deal with and not a caring person. She gave a seemingly straightforward writing assignment but graded it ridiculously strictly and also spied on students via GroupMe. Do NOT recommend if you want a caring lecturer.

Exams were straightforward so long as you watched the lectures and took comprehensive notes. Didn't need to read much of the textbook. There were a few issues with the first exam of the quarter and the grading criteria for the final essay but I believe she's getting rid of that assignment and I felt like she adapted pretty well to the challenges.

The worst professor I have ever dealt with at UCSB. She is extremely rude and unhelpful. Email her? You wont get a response, or you will get a nasty one. Her exams are straightforward but the paper she assigned at the end completely messed up everyones grade and she refused to override it. DONT TAKE HER CLASS

-good lectures -barely read: read vision chapter + wish I read drugs and mental health -extra material posted on every topic so you can learn more if you want -very caring, made mistakes but made up for them<3 -tests did not have anything unexpected (all from lecture besides DID) the paper did but she said she won't repeat that for future quarters

Only watched lectures & did fairly well on the exams. She doesnt provide a pdf ppt & her lecture mainly consists of pics. Kasie gave very unclear instructions and anxiety but understandable bc she is a new professor. I believe she will improve her next class because my class were the hamsters:,) she does seem passionate about teaching.

Despite some issues in the class regarding unclear assignments, the class was really interesting and she generally explained things well. She's really nice and cares about the best interest of her students. One thing to be aware of though: she does not provide powerpoint slides which can make lectures a bit strenuous and time-consuming.

Kasie's a cool person but a bad instructor. However, she would give unclear instructions and penalizes us for not understanding them. For instance, the questions on the paper were broad but she did not say she expects us to be very specific about the processes. The paper was supposed to help boost our grades but it completely backfired.

She did not give clear instructions on the peer review paper at first. She told us this paper is meant to help students to boost overall scores and use lecture material should be enough. However it turns out that if you only use leture material, your grade will be ruined. I felt very frustrated and she never respond direclty to students' concerns.

Made mistakes, I believe she will get better in the future since she is a new professor. Very nice and provided a lot of good extra material for students interested in learning more.

Unclear grading criteria, unnecessarily specific and difficult tests. Exams had so many questions and limited time, and the way she grades is very unfair (ex: 0 points if you select 4/5 correct on a multiple answer ? ) I have never experienced such ridiculous teaching and quality at UCSB. I could write so much more but just DON'T TAKE HER CLASS.

Extremely frustrating teacher to deal with. She is unreasonable and has an attitude when you ask for help. She also doesn't explain things in-depth but she will expect you to magically know it. Expects way too much for the little effort she puts in. Tests aren't too hard and it's an easier class but AVOID HER.

Never clear about anything and doesnt reply to questions yet expects us to read her mind. Literally contradicts herself in lecture giving us the wrong information, maybe she should read the book before teaching.
