I loved having Dr. Bernhold this semester at UTK! His lectures are boring but he tries his best to make it interesting. Attendance is mandatory and make sure to take good notes because it helps for the exams! I'm sad I can't take Dr. Bernhold next semester, but I would recommend him to anyone taking CMST 352!

Great professor! Took him for two semesters, and would take a 3rd if I wasn't graduating! Awesome and caring professor! Lecture is boring, but he tries his best to spice it up!

Professor Bernhold is at UTK now. The material is decently boring but you can tell that he LOVES CMST. We were graded off of 3 exams, a paper, and attendance. If you take notes during lecture and study, this class is an easy A. He is super helpful if you email him with questions and was very understanding during COVID.

The teacer was pretty great at giving clear criteria on what we needed to know for the class. Readings were fairly short, and the class was graded by a midterm and final, 30 percent each, and 10 percent attendance. Attendance was mandatory, but it's basically a grade booster anyways. He was also very passionate about his subject, which was a plus.
