As other students pointed out, this professor is indeed a very tough grader, however she makes up for it by making the exams very easy. She's known for her nitpicky nature when grading the writing assignments, though she does offer alot of help during office hours and is overall a very supportive and encouraging professor. Would recommend again.

A tough grader and there's a lot of work but you'll get what you put in. Attend lectures, take good notes, and take her small assignments VERY seriously. The exams are a breeze through and are lecture based. This class is more based on history of endangered species than the actual species. Heavily relies on effort you put into reading and writing.

Adams is worst professor I've ever had at UCSB. she's so rigid as a person and too nit-picky when she grades. she should've been a writing teacher if she cares about grammar than species so much. she left teaching halfway through the quarter to guest lectures. she knows no value in work if it isn't to her high standards. avoid class at all costs.
