Caleb Miller is the best professor I have had at UCSB, he is extremely passionate about the material and inspires students to be as well. Lectures are super interesting if you do the readings and participate. Readings are standard for a ps course but are all interesting. Super cool guy too, very easy to talk to in office hours.
Professor Miller is an extremely thorough lecturer. He does a great job in relating the sometimes dry material into relevant situations that help you understand the readings. If you want to do well, READ! Participate in section, pay close attention to your TA's grading criteria. There are 3 papers and in-class quizzes at the beginning of lecture.
My favorite professor in my 4 years of college. It helps that I love the material he teaches, but he's excellent at clearly communicating difficult material, and so so nice. His classes are all structured the same generally 3 short (4pg) papers and daily quizzes (and section participation if the class has section). HIGHLY recommend Prof Miller!
Caleb is one of the best professors I've ever had at UCSB. One of the rare few in the political science department who genuinely cares about the material that he teaches and wants to make sure that everyone has the understanding that they need to get the most out of the class. Could not recommend him more as a professor.

Professor Miller is extremely smart. He is very passionate about politics and philosophy and it shows in his lectures. He talks super fast but is receptive if you ask him to slow down. He does assign daily quizzes for the readings which can be kind of difficult but he picks good readings. All the readings he picks have a meaning no busy work.
Best professor I've had thus far. really thorough and responsible which is rare. he genuinely breaks down all information to the students in lecture. reading is a little heavy, but doable for sure. quizzes at the start of each class so READ! he talks very fast, but is willing to slow down and you can understand. no midterm or final, just 3 papers!
Professor Miller is the best professor Ive had at UCSB. While there is a heavy load of reading to bear, Professor Miller makes the topics very interesting in class, which clarifies the many difficult concepts to comprehend. There are 2-question quizzes every day (for attendance) and three short papers over the quarter (with no final exam).
Caleb Miller is one of the best professors that I have had at UCSB. He gets extremely into his lectures and if you do the reading the classes are way more interesting. He constantly creates dialogue and when the class is willing to participate it makes the lectures more entertaining. He's willing to talk outside of lecture and is always helpful.
Prof Miller is such a solid guy, lectures were amazing and he is very easy to follow and engaging with the class. I had never taken a political philosophy class before and he definitely sparked my interest in the subject. Daily quizes were tricky but he curved the quiz grades at the end. Class also definitely depends on your TA and writing ability.

Caleb Miller is AMAZING! although he is just a teaching associate (not an official professor) he has honestly taught me more than other Political Science professors! I RECOMMEND!! He is so intelligent! He's the type of person you want to have a beer with and talk about deep philosophical ideas! Love him!!
