MATH4A . 7 Years Ago

Awesome professor! I had failed Math 4A once, but I retook it with Prof. Williams and it became an enjoyable course. He won't move on until everyone understands the lectures. He also gave out useful study guides before each midterm and final.

Worst math professor I have had so far at UCSB. Stopped showing up to lecture because he would confuse me even more when trying to answer questions and his lectures lost organization. I got more help by going to CLAS SO GO TO CLAS!!! CLAS was the only reason I was able to pass this course.

Wouldn't give clear answers to questions at times. His explanations were hazy at best. He tried helping, but left the class even more confused. It seemed like he genuinely cared about student's understanding of material, but perhaps not the best professor that is suitable for non-math major classes.

AWESOME professor! He's really chill and makes sure the whole class understands the concepts by pausing every now and then to ask. Easily approachable and has a good sense of humor. Tests are manageable and he provides a study guide before the exams so you know what to study. Attendance isn't mandatory but helpful. Posts lectures online too.

Nathan is an extremely knowledgeable and cool professor. He likes to show us a bunch of interesting puzzles that relate directly to the class material and urges for class participation. Tests and quizzes are fair, though they can get tricky at times.
