Completely disregards her own students, lectures are useless and then youre expected to quote one for the final when theres not any slides, presentations, or prerecorded videos?? This class makes no sense and is really frustrating.

This is easily the worst class I've taken at UCSB, the final assignment is so ridiculously difficult, don't bother asking for help because the professor will just send you a copy and paste email if she even responds at all. You have to put so much work into this course and feel all alone while trying to correctly follow the confusing guidelines.

So many assignments with unclear guidelines & projects that are just unnecessary in online school. Class is really unnecessary and should be prerecorded so she can get to the point.

Professor does not know how to be adaptive. Not sure how her class was in person but she should not be teaching during remote learning. The class is not organized well and it is confusing to a majority of her students. I also get the feeling she wouldn't take constructive criticism well.

Worst professor I have ever taken in the Soc department. Do yourself a favor and do not take this class. She is so full of herself. She is openly rude to students. She doesn't foster a classroom that anyone feels open to asking questions and she is incredibly unclear in her expectations.

Completely unclear instructions in syllabus. Professor is extremely off putting and makes students feel unwelcome & beneath her/ not worth her time. Just dont take this class, I made a promise to myself to read the reviews next time before signing up for classes because this one makes me want to drop out.

Professor Luna is honestly one of the worst professors I've ever had. Her lectures are dry and uninformative, she is extremely condescending and downright rude to students, and her grading is inconsistent. I would save yourself the trouble and avoid taking her classes; it's not worth your time or money.

She is brilliant but not an easy class to pay attention to as she has a hard time getting to a point. The readings were very dense. The few assignments are a relief with plenty of opportunities to turn them in as you can choose which week to respond to just twice, respond to someone else's twice, and one outside event. Professor Luna is genuinely a good person and is clearly knowledgeable on the field of reproductive justice, however her ability to lecture is mediocre at best. Especially over zoom this quarter is was extremely difficult to grasp the points she was trying to get across and often her lectures involved a lot of mumbling.

Was expecting this class to be inspiration, at the very least, but was very disappointed. The lectures were boring and she did not have good powerpoint structure. The only exam we have is given after the first three weeks of the quarter and worth 30% of the overall grade. Too much readings are assigned each week. She may come off as rude too.

If you're not a fan of reading and group work, and want to keep a high GPA, do yourself a favor and skip this class. It wasn't as awe-inspiring as it should've been, probably due to her teaching methods not working for me and most of my class. Good person, not-so-good professor.
