I did not want to take this class because the course title made me shudder, but I was surprised to see that it quickly became my favorite class of the quarter, and maybe even of the Political Science major so far. Tristin is organized and clear, and his lectures were engaging and educational. I highly suggest taking class with him- just show up!

He's a really good professor. He really cares about his students and how they are doing in class. I definitely recommend people to take a class with this professor. Midterm, one paper, and final. Attendance and doing the readings are necessary to pass the exams.

One of the best professors I've had, he represents what people look for in the poli-sci area. Someone who would give relevant lectures on things that matter instead of reading a dead book with no connection to the modern day world. Class is interesting and all you have to do is pay attention. I would definitely recommend this class to people.

This was probably the most relevant course I've taken at UCSB. The material is tough but the grading system is easy.
