Lots of reading, hard to pass without keeping up! Gives pop quizzes on all of the books. Less lecture-format and more group participation oriented, asked us a lot of questions and then would add his commentary to our feedback. Overall I learned a lot, he's really knowledgeable and helpful. Gives a few extra credit points to make up for bad quizzes!

This class was an environmental literature class and Zach was an awesome professor with interesting content. He's really well informed about environmental issues and gives great lectures. A lot of reading and weekly quizzes to test that you're doing it so just make sure you can keep up if you take this class! Highly recommended.
