I truly learned nothing from this class. 60% of our classes were canceled and 20% of them were online due to her personal issues. I don't feel like the writing style that she teaches is helpful in my future as well. Her feedback is not in till two weeks after the submission of the draft (two days before the deadline).

One of the best writing instructors I've ever had! Heather gives you a lot of time to complete the writing assignments. She's also super nice and helpful when it comes to brainstorming and outlining papers and assignments. This is not an easy class, but if you put in effort and ask for her feedback, you'll do fine. She's great :)

Hard class. She is very particular but also extremely helpful. She is the most caring, involved teacher i've had throughout my years at UCSB. She will greatly improve your writing, with hard work of course, but she gives you support that no other professor will!

I abhor writing, but this class is really easy. Just do all the writing assignments and you'll pass the class. I received a C on my first paper and then an A on my next two papers. Fairly strict but really helpful. Do not overthink anything and if you are confused, she is ALWAYS there to help! She is a writing enthusiast so expect the jokes.

Heather is probably tougher than most Writ2 professors, but you'll definitely learn more with her. She's really funny!! She comes off kinda tough but she definitely cares about her students. The grade breakdown is nice because 30% is just attendance and doing homework. I would definitely recommend her if you're up for a (slight) challenge
