LOWELL J F
This class is the worst. Her practice problems are not at all similar to the exams, and she's a ridiculously tough grader on the exams. The TA literally couldn't answer questions about the hw. youre better off without this one
SUPER dry lectures, she does provide a few chances to gain participation credit through "random bonus events", but if you're not careful the exam difficulty can blindside you. sometimes lecture + hw/tests do NOT match up. weekly reading quizzes that are a nice grade buffer though.
The best professor you can get in Econ department. Super nice professor. Took both 180 and 181 easy As
Very good
Lectures are very confusing. You are basically on your own.
Bad curve
Kind, thoughtful professor who makes the content interesting. Reading quizzes, but just on news articles. Tests are straightforward.
Prof is nice, but the course is really boring. I was expecting a course related more to the art world but she didn't illustrate a lot on that. A long proposal to write, and two midterms. Spent a lot of efforts on midterms but still didn't do well. Got a C+ .
She was very nice, lectures are kind of boring. they are necessary for going to because she does examples on the board as well as has a mandatory reading quiz each class so going to every class is necessary in order to get a good grade. i would take her again. it's a fair class and not too difficult as long as you practice.
I took 135 (Arts and Culture) with her and now I am in 181 (International Finance) with her. She's actually a really good teacher and if you pay attention in class, you'll definitely get an A. Her lectures are long and have a lot of info, but she is clear with every example. If you go to her office hours she will help you with all homework
This teacher's lectures are super boring and don't make any sense. She makes you take reading quizzes at the beginning of each class so you have to come to class. However, listening to her lecture confuses me more than helps and I was only able to do well because I looked at all the slides over at home and took notes.
