Daniel is the best Spanish teacher I've had at ucsb. He is hilarious and explains the material really well. The class involves a ton of writing, and he had us use Google Docs in class for collaborative writing activities. Tests were reasonable. His essay topics made the class fun.. we wrote our own fairy tales and also wrote conspiracy theories!!

Daniel was an excellent teacher for Spanish-speakers wanting to learn Portuguese. He was extremely helpful and always willing to answer questions. If he didn't know an answer, he would look it up immediately for you. He made the class really fun and upbeat. I would definitely recommend him! Nightly hw, 2 easy in-class essays, 2 midterms, final

Daniel is a truly phenomenal teacher with a very apparent passion for language. He makes class time fun and interactive with his creative assignments and discussion topics. Highly accessible to students, friendly, and clearly wants you to do well. Also funny guy--get him to rap for you in Spanish!
