Emma is the best!! She uses technology well during her sections, gives constructive feedback, and goes above-and-beyond to help her students succeed. I took her sections for both Music 11 and Music 15 and loved every minute!

Emma Levine is by far the best professor and TA at UCSB. I think I loved her.

One of the best classes at UCSB. Inspires a love of music in even those who have no previous interest in the subject. Incredibly clear expectations of the class and very friendly. Lectures are exciting even though it could be a very dull subject, which is good because you have to show up.

Really fun class. I only had her as a TA, but she really knows what she is doing and is very friendly and helpful. I know she taught the class multiple times before, though. You can really see that she enjoys and knows the content.

Emma Levine is a great music professor! She has TA'ed the class like 15 times before she was a professor and it shows. She introduces great material and gets the students involved with it. The class is made easy with simple tests and lenient TAs. Even though it is a writing class and I HATE writing, I did not mind the essay. 1010 would recommend.

This is a great class, and it could not have been taught by a better professor. Emma is super nice, a great lecturer, and teaches very interesting material. She plays great music throughout history, and she knows how to cater to her students very well. Do the straightforward memorization, take your time on the paper, and you will have an easy A.
