Her teaching is so well-organized that anyone without comm prereq classes could walk in and listen to a fascinating lecture. She is passionate, well-spoken, and engaging. I rarely see her after class without a line of students flocking to get her attention with comments and insights inspired by the lecture. Bring Aldeis back @UCSBcomm!

My favorite professor I've had! Very engaging lectures and she makes a point to connect the ideas to very relevant stories/examples. Lectures are well organized and are easy to follow. Tests are multiple choice and can be challenging. Textbook use is somewhat minimal since she covers most of what you need to know during lecture. Very knowledgable!

She is the best professor I have had so far! She maintains a great balance between professionalism while also being caring and enthusiastic. Her lectures are very clear and easy to follow, while also being very informative. She is very helpful if you go talk to her at office hours as well. Be careful on the tests, because they can be tricky!

By far the best professor I have had thus far at UCSB. She is engaging, respected, and knows her stuff! On top of that she makes an extraordinary effort to remember students's names and information shared in previous lectures. She has a special way of making you feel noticed even in a l50+ class.

She grades attendance but then wastes lectures going on tangents, it's impossible not to tune her out. To top it off, she tests on minute details she mentioned 1 or 2 times in her tangents so there's no way to get an A unless you listen to, write down, AND remember every little thing she says. Never again.

By far the best professor I have ever had. I am taking classes of her's 4 quarters in a row. She really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Lecture is engaging and useful. You get points just for being in class. The final paper was actually enjoyable to write! Really fair tests and grading. Would definitely recommend!

Aldeis is great, she's funny and entertaining and really works hard to make the material understandable. Her class was graded only on attendance, midterm, and final only so if you didn't know your stuff you were kind of screwed. If you go to class, pay attention, and do most of your reading you should be good.

The most approachable and kind professor i've had at UCSB. Her lectures are so funny and relevant and actually make you learn the material by going to class. She made an 8am lecture bearable and if you listen and take notes, her tests are extremely fair. Go to office hours to talk to her about class or life, she actually cares. Highly recommended.

LITERALLY SUCH A LOVE. I took her at SBCC and then at UCSB and she brings her "A Game" to every class. She puts her heart and soul into her lectures and presents the material in an interactive, fun way. Take her Dark Sides of Comm class Comm160D!

Professor Aldeis is one of my favorite professors here at UCSB. She is super accessible outside of class and is a really nice grader (but you still learn a lot in her class). Honestly, her classes are easy As and an all together great experience. Highly recommend taking her class :)

Professor Aldeis is by far the best professor I've had at UCSB. She is very nice, knowledgeable & enthusiastic about her classes and makes lectures entertaining by sharing videos, and asks others to contribute their experiences to better understand examples. She will go out of her way to help you. She wants you to succeed, office hours are helpful!
