Great Professor, made class interesting, test were easy, because study guide was to the point compared to other professors who give 100 terms and 10 are on the test, she gave about 15 to 20 and 10 would be on the test

Great class! She's an excellent professor and extremely knowledgeable. No tests, weekly projects and a 5-page research paper.

She is very vague in assignment requirements. "Projects" are more like short answer questions. Expects you to detail everything you read in ch. summaries for full credit. One presentation. Not much structure to the class she just lectures for 3/4 of the class and shows pics at the end. Class was pretty boring not fun at all. work due every meeting

My favorite teacher and class at UCSB. She's a little funky, but then she's an archaeologist so it makes sense. She still works in Peru every summer and is legit. Just sit back and listen to her stories. Short 1-page chap. summary each week and a small weekly project analyzing archaeological stuff. Longer final paper. Easy and interesting.

Schreiber has a lot of interesting stories, but it seems like she likes to talk about herself quite a bit. In my experience she was not very nice outside of class, I might even go so far to say she was rude. Enroll in her classes if you truly care about the subject matter.

One of my favorite professors, she is so cool and super nice in and out of class. Her classes are really interesting and you actually learn things. Lots of nice easy little projects.

Exceptional professor! By far on of my favorites! Highly enthusiastic! The class itself was not too difficult and quite entertaining. It was definitely NOT a struggle to go to every lecture.

She is an enthusiastic and interesting lecturer, if you have good attendance you can sit back and listen to her amazing stories and learn almost everything you need to without trying to memorize anything. She is one of my all time favorite professors and I would recomend any of her 150-abc courses even to non-anthro majors.

Her lectures are entertaining but still informative, she is really nice and approachable inside/outside of class and she loves to assign little projects. If you go to lecture and review her powerpoint the tests are exactly what you'd expect. I would definately take Schreiber for any of her 150 courses, her enthusiasm is contagious!

she by far is one of the best teachers I have had here. Instead of tests, she assigns small projects throughout the quarter. Projects are not hard and are interesting. She makes the class interesting and you actually learn stuff instead of memorizing things and then just forgetting it when you walk out the door.

her classes are interesting and informative, but her assignments are often unclear. make sure you talk to her and go to office hours if you have questions, your grade will be better for it.

Inca Empire. Very interesting lectures, and encourages alternative types of extra credit. Be prepared to make things and participate in class instead of doing long, extensive term papers. Not an easy grade, but a fun class to say the least.
