Dr. Harris was a delight to have for 109HP this quarter. If you're lucky enough to get into this class, you'll benefit from the ethical discussions about healthcare for intellectual stimulation as well as benefitting from feedback on your first professional medical/nursing school mock interview, personal statement, and resume. One of the sweetest!
dr harris is great! super nice and open. beginning of the quarter is more reading and assignment heavy, so when other classes started getting harder, this one was really nice. a bit of reading, but interesting. assignments were really fun to do, lots of different aspects of writing abt art that appeal to a lot of different aspects.
Dr. Harris is the best professor Ive had in 3 years at UCSB. She is brilliant, personable, and attending her OHs frequently has no doubt made me a more effective writer. I took the course to satisfy the A2 requirement, but really hope I get the chance to take a class with her again!
She is the best professor I have met in my three years at UCSB. She is kind, generous, humorous, and professional. The grading system is really legit and fair. Please attend her class! She is the best!
He class is easy to get grades as long as you put effort in! Reading is required and she will quiz on the reading, but they are all easy questions.
Great professor! Take her class! Readings are tested in quizzes. Go to office hours! Have the professor help write ur paper during office hours! Funny and often lets the class leave early. Attendance is mandatory and skipping hurts ur grade a lot. Amazing lectures and the class is definitely an eye opener!
I LOVE PROFESSOR HARRIS-MOORE! She is such an amazing, kind human and wants you to succeed. I would always go to office hours for my papers and she was very helpful! Helped me become a better writer and made me really interested in rhetoric. Take her if you can! She was my third writing professor at UCSB and by far the best!
Prof Harris-Moore did a great job at analyzing the films that we watched and made it easy for there to be dialogue during class. She let us choose the films which was cool since even she didn't know what we would discuss up until the 1st week of class. Overall an enjoyable professor and I would absolutely take a class of hers again!
I don't really like writing but Dr. Harris-Moore made it fun and interesting. Holds extra office hours if needed and usually let's you out fifteen minutes early
Really amazing professor! I usually hate writing but she really helped me become a better writer and I really enjoyed her class. 100% recommend.
Seriously had the most fun with this class I took at summer. She won't be offering any this year but if you ever get a chance take it!!! Worth every minute spent learning about film and writing reviews/etc. This is my second time having her and although she is fairly a hard-er writing grader, the class never bores me.
