Amazing professor! I had him Fall Quarter and absolutely loved him. I am taking another of his classes during Spring. He made the material very interesting. Attending lectures is a must and he is very clear. We had 2 midterms, 1 final, and 4 pop quizzes. Midterms and final are IDs and an essay. He puts the powerpoint online.

Incredible professor, I don't have a class with him this quarter and I'm very disappointed. I would highly recommend any of his classes, if you can get into them. He's very intelligent, very funny, and willing to help you as much as he can. My favorite professor at UCSB in three years.

New teacher and I loved him! You could tell he loved what he taught and made class interesting. Attendance is crucial as he gives a few pop quizzes (arent bad if u pay attention) and all info u need for tests/quizzes are from lecture notes because you just write on passages from the readings. Reading helps. No papers, 2 midterms, 4 quizzes, 1 final
