very helpful, answers student's questions. teaches you pronunciation . lots of groupwork in class and he comes around to help you individually. tests are standard and the same for all port classes, not much homework. nice guy.

He does have a Portuguese accent but not hard to understand if you pay attention and make an effort to learn. He helps you if you make an effort to approach him for help. The grade you receive in this class is based on how much effort you put in. Easy to get As in tests and writing compositions if you study and do not take this class as a joke.

I don't understand him at all and I don't find him helpful or approachable. His Portuguese competence must be really good but he doesn't realize that he is teaching a begginers level. Besides, he has a very strong accent, problems to understand him even in English. Sometimes he seems to be rude to some studentes.
