Jingrun Chen is great. His explanations in class are very clear, and just in case you miss something, he posts great lecture notes online. His exams are clear and straightforward. There's homework every week: Know how to do the homework, and the midtermfinal will be a breeze.
He is such an easy professor, cheat sheets and all, go to class and he'll give out extra hints but otherwise he will post all the lecture notes online. Take him whenever you have the chance, a truly refreshing professor
Chen is an amazing professor. Not only is he extremely intelligent, he is a kind person. He is very quick to reply to emails, and always available to help outside of class. Take him for any class that you can, even if it is not a requirement.
Posts lecture notes online so attendance is not mandatory. Just know how to do WebWork and you will be good for the midterm and the final.
Good math teacher. Has great notes posted online even though he is hard to understand in lectures. Midterm was very easy, but finals was definitely way harder. Put time into the class, and it should be easy.
Barely speaks English, the TAs do the hw in section, no help at all. Everyone needed to teach themselves, final is impossible.
HE IS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HARD-WORKING. I REALLY LOVE HIS NOTES WHICH ARE REALLY SPECIFIC AND HELPFUL.
He is a really great teacher and organizes his classes well. Homeworks are not easy and always beyond what he is teaching. Midterm and Finals are not so hard if u attend his classes. He posts his notes on gauchospace which are really helpful.
This class isn't offered anymore, but Chen was a pretty good prof. He posts his notes online so I never really went, and he will answer almost any question during the tests. Final and midterms very simple, as was homework.
I enjoyed having him for a professor. He's very kind, and he is very willing to help students with their questions. He allowed us to use textbook/laptop/calculator/notes on all tests. Homework and project were 45% of the grade. He gave some hints about the final exam during the last week of class. Be sure to understand the theories.txtbkgood
The professor's lecture is hard to understand. Also, the final is soooo difficult. Most students even couldn't finish the finial.
Chen is a little hard to understand, but let's be honest math is math, if you can read what he is writing on the board you are good to go. He is very nice and willing to help. Tests are identical to practice tests.
