Dr. Klose recognizes effort and takes time to help in what individuals need to succeed. Dr. Klose was my 1st professor here at UCSB, she helped me gain solid motivation and confidence that's now contributing to exceptional upper division course work. I will never forget her. Key: lecture notes + READING! (I highly suggest both, 50/50 on exam)
weird stories, did not give anything.
One of the best professors I have had, took her class over the summer(2012 Session A) and I'm glad I did. She's very passionate and helpful person, going to section is mandatory but the in-section debate games were awesome! The TA Emily De Moore is very helpful and understanding. Extra credit is offered and needed as tests were hard. HW every week
Enthusiasm, enthusiasm, enthusiasm. Take this class. Professor Klose is the bomb and you'll learn so much about the environment that you did not know. Highest recommendation!
5 stars. Best class I've taken at UCSB.
I learned so much in this class! She opened my eyes. I even changed my major to ES because of her!! Great prof!
Excellent professor. She is extremely passionate about the subject and makes everyone else interested in it too. I wanted to get involved with lab experience and she put me in contact with the right professor to get a job. I definitely highly recommend taking her classes!
Great professor. Truly one of a kind and an inspiration! Definitely take her class, she is a great lecturer and an even better person.
Dr. Klose is a great professor. It is clear that she wants her students to succeed. The course involves three multiple choice exams that were a little difficult but definitely fair. Dr. Klose is very approachable and takes the time to clarify material during office hours. Overall great experience with this helpful professor, highly recommended!
Class is pretty easy if you attend ALL classes and take good notes. Kristi is a great teacher, knows her stuff, and really wants everyone to learn. If you don't go to class, don't take this course. She also gives extra credit questions on exams that you will not get unless you go to class. Very enthusiastic and helpful at office hours.
She shows a lot of powerpoint slides which are made available before class and elaborates on them in class. Her tests are fairly specific, i.e., a lot of details are tested as opposed to larger concepts. It helps to read the book but not a must. She's an awesome lecturer and really nice to talk to after class or during office hours.
word up to klose. her exams are hard, but the material she presents is interesting so its kinda worth it. she's also very easy on the eyes.
