I was really looking forward to this class but it would have been better taught by anyone else. He was chronically late (as much as 30 minutes), mumbled, rambled and repeated himself from day to day. We had almost no discussion on actual cases of ethics applied and only talked about theory and even then not in depth.
Professor McKoy is very helpful and knowledgable. If you pay attention in class and take good notes you will be good for the midterm and final but reading is still a must! If you don't understand something and go to office hours he will take the time to make sure you understand. I really enjoyed his class! Great Professor
Great Professor
Good teacher. Very nice. Clear. Very helpful. Enjoyed the class. Great teacher at UCSB
Terrible class. Unclear. Jason Pfeifle(the TA) graded way too hard for how unclear, unorganized, and boring the lectures were. Worst class I have taken.I do not think he teaches at UCSB anymore but if he comes back: AVOID HIM!!
Slow and boring, but if you pay attention in lecture, it's a very easy class. McKoy is interesting although the material is kind of dry.
He is a very nice professor, and very accommodating. However, he does speak in a monotone voice and reads straight off of his notes. He is very knowledgeable about the classics. There is a midterm, paper and final. He gives you a really good study guide for both tests. Go to class, he has stuff in his notes that's on the tests. I recommend him.
