One of the best teachers I've ever had. If you put in effort and thought, you won't have to worry about your grade. The class took a well-needed look at consumer culture, and I think it had a noticeable impact on my day to day life. This class taught more than writing. If you have a chance, take this class, it will change your life.

Very helpful and fun to talk to. He likes to see his students succeed. Class is very enjoyable because Nick is hilarious.

AWESOME CLASS, AWESOME PROFESSOR. Consumer society is what Nick bases the entire class around. Workload is definitly manageable, and Nick is very flexible with deadlines provided you talk to him and explain your situation. Highly reccomend taking any class you can with him. More importantly, he is hilarious so going to class is not a chore.

Nick was one of the best profs i had over 4 years at UCSB. He is really funny and always speaks the truth. Writing 109SS is a great class-the subject is consumer society. He gives you plenty of time and freedom in writing your papers. TAKE this class!

tingle is amazing! he is really helpful, understanding, and is available for all his students whenever needed. best teacher ever!! class is interesting ans you get to choose your own topic for your paper and learn about other classmates and their topics. highly recommend!!!!!
