ECE 5 is a free class, but he's a really good lecturer. His lectures make sense and are a really good overview for later classes, plus he really welcomes questions.
This class is a free A, with very little homework. Lectures were very interesting and well-taught but were not required and the content was not tested. One group project with 3 person groups is responsible for all of your coursework. Mr. Hespanha is very helpful along the way.
Professor Hespanha was all-around fantastic. His course notes are well-written (he wrote them!) and fairly easy to follow. Each lecture introduces a new topic that you can take entire classes on later. The sheer amount of content was a bit much at times, but the homework was simple. Professor Hespanha was funny and taught this course well.
Hespanha is the GOAT. He's very knowledgeable and gives high-quality lectures about EE concepts in various Arduino components from LED displays to motors to microcontrollers, which can be very helpful when building projects. The homework is very easy. The main component of your grade is a project, so make sure you're productive during the labs.
Super nice and really helpful definitely take his class if you get the chance!
Super easy class but also really fun. Lectures were kind of unnecessary since its just a project class but hes a nice guy. Helpful when it comes to building your projects.
João is a really caring professor. He will help you ojtside of office hours if you need help. He is really nice and wants to make sure his students really are learning the material. He uses his own lecture notes which he made into a book. They are really useful. His tests are medium difficulty. Just study and ask questions and you should do fine.
i took this professor in FALL 2009. He was really fair & good is very helpful dimuring office hours He will also schedule extra time if you need help. He really cares about the students learning. He is one of the best professors I have ever had !!

Really nice guy who is quite knowledgable and helpful. The course is very laid back and requires little work until the final month. Prof is unfortunately quite busy, so finding him with availiable time is tricky. Uses his own really good notes, survey of topics with some more interesting than others. Final project is a chance to explore
