Geoff is genuinely one of the kindest professors I have ever had. Always came to class with excitement and was really great at breaking down the concepts. I got by without doing much of the readings, but still had to pay close attention in class. Tough and niche subject but if you go to office hours and show up you will be fine.

Took this as an online summer course and it was interesting material but a lot of dense reading material. Only graded on a mini essay, midterm and final. You need to do the readings and go to class to understand what the essay topic choices are. Sounds difficult but if you try you're guaranteed a good grade since the TA grades pretty easy.

This Professor was really down-to-earth and I was entertained by his lectures. You are only graded on a few papers so be sure to read the material and attend the lectures! His lectures are relatable, funny, but very theoretical at times and can be word-heavy. But overall I would absolutely take his classes again!

I took this course over the summer and it was async which has it's benefits and drawbacks. This course is good for people who want fewer assignments, but it's difficult to improve your grade if you do poorly on one. There was a midterm (40%), final essay (50%), and an easy exercise (10%).

Interesting class, though also hard because topic requires so miniscule analysis. No attendance during lectures taken, but sections. Funny lectures because of examples from shows. Reading mostly not necessary, except occasionally for assignments (only take-home, no tests).

The content itself was confusing but he took the time to make sure students understood the material to the best of their ability. You can tell her loves teaching the subject which made it interesting to learn. Grades were based on an easy assignment, the midterm paper and final paper. Show up to lectures and you should be fine.
