TCHAROS S S
She is truly a gem! Highly empathetic and caring Professor, and managed to pique my interest in a subject I never cared about--early modern music history!
Professor Tcharos is excellent. She's big on class discussion, and when a student is talking she really listens and finds a way to connect it to what she is teaching. She's very caring and understanding; you can email her about an absence or deadline extension and she will give it to you. She always keeps her lectures and assignments interesting.
Stefanie is an absolutely amazing professor! You can tell that she cares about the topic AND the students and is always so curious to hear what we have to say. She definitely helps bring out some confidence in students that may otherwise be shy about participating. Lectures can be really dry but the discussion is a large part of your grade.
While the lectures were lengthy the class was great. Stefanie was amazing at giving us feedback and encouraging us with papers and projects and she loved to hear what we had to say during class. Class was about discussion, and the only assignments were weekly reading and summaries, and the 3 papers during the quarter.
Excellent in every way.
Her lectures are very clear and she definitely knows what she's talking about. She skips between slides really fast, but she puts them online so it's ok.
Awesome
If you are interested in opera you'll like it, otherwise caffinate heavily and safety pin your eyes open. Her passionately monotone lectures are dispensed at a mind-nunbing frequency and duration.
