The best Writ 2 teacher out there! She gives plenty of opportunities and help for you to better your grades, and the writing topics were super interesting, and she gives options! I wrote one paper on the movie Fight Club, doesn't get better than that...

Shanna is awesome. She works super hard and does anything she can to help out. The class was cool, too. A lot of discussion about articles or movies we read/watched. Everyone gets involved, and it leads to thought-provocative dialogue among the students.

Shanna was extremely nice if you do what she asks as far as show up on time and turn in work on time. She is also very helpful and we watched really great movies in class (Fight Club and Cinderella Man). She demands and lot and you will improve if you want to. The papers are on really enjoyable topics. Hard class but recommended w/ an easy schedule

She is a wonderful teacher who really cares about her students. She is always willing to meet outside of class to help improve your papers. If you are willing to put in work, you will definitely improve your writing skills. I can easily see the difference after taking her class. With a little extra work, you can get an A. I would recommend her!

Great teacher!

Shanna is a very helpful writing teacher. Her assignments are fair and you can always redo your essays for a better grade. She is really helpful in office hours and her class was pretty interesting. We watched Harold and Kumar in class and that was pretty fun. She was one of my favorite writing professors at UCSB.
