Super sweet and helpful professor, I really enjoyed learning Japanese from her. Unfortunately she's retiring after this quarter so no one else will have the pleasure of taking one of her classes.

Amazing Japanese professor. She's really sweet and funny, and makes Japanese class a joy every day. Japanese class is very fast-paced, but she definitely helps you learn a lot. Took 1 and 2 with her and would take more if I could. Highly recommend taking Japanese with Shinagawa sensei!

Japan 2 is harder than 1. But having Shinagawa sensee is always a pleasure. I'll miss her since she cannot teach Japan 3 next quarter.

Shinagawa is the best! Though I was only taking Japanese for fun. She is so caring that her homework feedbacks are always related to what you've said during the class conversation.

She's just so kind. She's probably the most caring teacher I've met for my whole school time. I am now taking Japanese4 with her and I really felt that my language skill improved greatly.

Shinagawa-sensei is very kind, has a great sense of humor, and an absolute angel. Her teaching is very organized and gives clear instructions. Randomly picks people during class to answer questions but very easygoing and supportive even if you answer incorrectly. I've taken 1 and 2 with her, would take more if I could. Cannot recommend her enough.
