Doing the homework wrong for twice, you get zero points for the question. Textbook costs 100 dollars.
Maribel is an amazing professor that really cares for her students and wants to see each one succeed. There is a lot of homework in her class, but it is important to complete each assignment for a grade and to do well on the midterms.
Maribel is amazing. She cares about her students and makes sure everyone understands everything she is teaching. She really wants to see everyone succeed.
Maribel is amazing. She listens to students and wants them to take charge. Math 182 is unlike any other class I've taken at UCSB. We focused on topics the class was interested in and we had choices so we could decide what we wanted to learn more about. Most of our grade was attendance and homework (graded for completion) and the group project final
Prof. Bueno is a fantastic professor. She's excellent at explaining concepts, she's funny, and she cares about her students. Her classes are tough, but she is always supportive and willing to answer questions. If you work hard you'll do well. She is very passionate about her field of study and brings that enthusiasm with her into the classroom.
I learned a lot in this class although I needed to work really hard!
Great professor
Professor Bueno was a wonderful professor. Her office hours were helpful and so were her classes. Her tests were very straight forward but still difficult. If you study you will definitely pass. Although it might be because I was taking her over the summer, her grading scale made it almost impossible to fail. I would recommend taking her classes.
Freaking ridiculously hard math. probably the hardest math major prereq. The professor is kinda mean....went to her office hours and she just said read your book if you don't understand. I studied for the final for a whole week with tutor and CLAS and barely passed the exam. If you want to get a good grade, don't take this class. Ruined major gpa
This professor was one of the best I have had! She went through the material and explained everything very clearly! She was very helpful during office hours and was always available to lend you a helping hand if in need of it! If you have a chance to take this course I highly recommend it! It was very interesting and I learned a lot!
I've taken multiple classes with her and known her for a while and she is a great professor. Loves her students and cares about the material. Very understanding and willing to listen to the students (at least in the CCS courses) and loves feedback. But she is NOT easy.Goes a bit fast sometimes but if you try and do work, you
She is a very nice math professor. She cares about her students a lot. Even though she has a strong accent, she is very easy professor... just do the work and you will get A easily because the entire midterm is based on the homework
This class isn't your typical calculations math class, a lot of definitions and theoretical concepts make this course different. Make flash cards of key words, read the book to tie down concepts for True/False explanation. Do the homework so that you really understand the concepts. Go to section as it counts for 15% of the grade.
only missed one class all quarter, turned in all the work, she said that if you did this, you would get an A, gave me an A- not sure why
does not know how to teach
Great professor, clear and helpful, test problems are very fair. Shows interest in students and it is clear she enjoys teaching. Will take class with her again.
First lecture, I freaked out and thought college was going to be TOO HARD. After that, I missed so much class just to go surf when the north swell came in. I just went to CLAS instead and got an A+ in the class. Just go to CLAS and get help with the homework. Also a lot of people don't surf in the morning. I hate it when campus point gets crowded.
I would NEVER wish this class with this teacher upon my worst enemy! She made my first quarter at UCSB a living hell!
wow.. really.. go back to spain. not only is she incomprehensible but also a very hard and unrewarding teacher.
Gonna have to agree with the last 3. This class ruined my quarter. I will never, NEVER take another class with her!
I took CLAS and I still did horribly! Avoid her class at ALL COSTS!
All I can say is ughhhhhh!!!!!!!!
This class made me depressed! Horrible introduction to classes at UCSB!
Heavy curve on the first midterm, easy quizzes and the final exam was online. Doing the homework and attending CLAS really helped me.
