CollegeVery well-prepared lectures with lots of homework. Weekly quizzes are mandatory but not hard. You need to read lots of notes in order to keep pace with the class and they might not be easy to understand. Maribel's Math CS108AB might be among the most difficult undergraduate math classes in the CCS math department. Generate grader though
Maribel is the best math prof. at ucsb. Largest workload out of any math class i've taken. But if you are willing to work, you will learn an incredible amount. Her classes prepared me to succeed in upper div math. She is extremely caring, compassionate, and helpful (go to office hours). Highly recommend to anyone who is interested in mathematics.
really cares about her students & is willing to work with them (at least for ccs), was very understanding of extenuating circumstances. if you participate in lectures & go to office hours she will take note & it will contribute positively to your grade. her classes are difficult but I honestly love her
I wish all the professors were like her.
You will learn a lot in her classes if you work. It is not an easy A but it is worth it.
Awesome teacher. She cares about her students.
