Daddy Price is a beast of a man. I highly recommend taking at least one of the gen chem series with him. He makes his lectures interesting and does more demos than any professor. He also does multiple exam reviews for every exam in the quarter. His tests arent too difficult, but they will test your knowledge. You can't not love Daddy Price.
A wonderful professor! Really cares about the class and is very good at making chemistry something that everyone can understand. Funny and gives many demonstrations and everyday life examples.
Professor Scott is THE MAN. He is just an amazing professor. He is passionate about what he does and he clearly loves teaching. He makes jokes in class, uses great analogies to explain difficult concepts, and does super cool demos. Also, he gives revision sessions before exams. And a bonus point, he is super super cute!
Best chem professor at UCSB! Would definitely take his class again! Super passionate about teaching, really cares about his students, and does many demos to visually reinforce concepts and makes class super fun and engaging. Clear and excellent at explaining difficult concepts to students in the most concise way. BEST ALL AROUND quality professor!
The best chem professor at ucsb by far. Yes, his tests are quite difficult and it is easy to fall behind, but if you're on top of it, Price will give you all the tools necessary to pass. CHOOSE PRICE OR YOU'RE ROLLING THE DICE.
Amazing Professor! Explains concepts at least three different ways, so you can understand it. He gave an outline or a study plan for the final and gives super helpful studying tips. There are so many practice tests available. Honestly, I can say nothing bad about him.
In-depth lectures, gives step-by-step explanations. Very passionate and wants you to succeed, 2 quizzes, 2 midterms and 1 final. People are always at his office hours, so he's very approachable and helpful. Has cool demonstrations and has midterm & final reviews.
Dr. Price really knows his stuff. His ability to explain complex concepts in simple words is a gift. As long as you do everything he tells you, you can get an A. It's all hard work and patience. There is no such thing as luck. You can do it!
He's an amazing lecturer who is always clear and coherent. He's super good-looking for a professor so in lecture, I mostly just think of all the things I'd do to him outta class. STUDY HARD if you're not good at chemistry.
Price was adorable. He was approachable and had a great sense of humor. Of course, Price was also an excellent professor. He presented the material simply, and he often did demonstrations in class. His blackboards were ridiculously clear. Prices exams accurately tested for understanding, so if you learn the material and study, you'll do just fine.
A professor who wants all his students to succeed. His lectures are extremely clear and informative in the most concise way. Most of the questions that arose in my head as he was teaching the material were successively clarified moments after he finishes addressing the concept. He knows the questions and points of confusions students might have.
Dr. Price is absolutely amazing, his lectures are like the highlights of my day. He makes his lectures very easy to understand and follow, posts his PowerPoint slides online for you to follow. As long as you attend his lectures, you are pretty much guarantee to pass. He has practice tests for each of his tests online.
Great lectures. I think he really tries to organize his lectures in a way to help every type of learner. Very cool person. Great professor. Professor Price is a beautiful life saver. Very passionate teacher and very knowledgable. Go to office hours, he's super helpful and approachable (its when you see his enthusiasm for chemistry the most). Best professor I've had at UCSB!
What an amazing man and teacher. I flunked out of 1A the first time I took it and got a C the second time, so it is safe to say chemistry is not my best subject. However, Price makes the information easy to understand, I actually wanted to go to lecture! Very welcoming and helpful. You MUST take him for Chem 1B.
Dr. Price is a great great great professor. He genuinely wants to see you succeed and is probably the most approachable professor I've ever met. He makes his lectures interesting by sometimes doing cool experiments during class. Definitely take this professor you will learn to love the material.
Price is the best chem professor out of them all. You can tell he is passionate about teaching & chemistry. He is always professional, clear, concise, & sometimes really funny. I have a hard time with chem but he really helped me understand the material. He's super nice & approachable. I wish I could have had him every quarter for gen chem!
I had Price for 1A and 1B. He is really passionate in teaching chemistry, his lectures are clear and easy to follow. He posts his lecture slides online before class. 2 Quizzes, 2 Midterms and a Final. iclicker replaces lowest quiz and Final replace lowest midterm. Tests are somehow tricky but overall great professor! Highly recommended!
I had Price for Chem 1A and 1B and he is one of the best teachers I have ever had in my life. Very helpful, clear in lectures, encourages students to study hard and do well, and he likes to entertain us too with awesome demos. I've never heard someone who doesn't like him and he is so passionate about chemistry that it brings a smile to your face
The fact that Price isn't teaching Chem1C next quarter makes me so sad. He's a really good lecturer and he's very passionate about chemistry. He takes his time in lecture to make sure everyone understands the material and he always has office hours.
really good at getting concepts across and walking through calculations. funny and made lecture interesting. lots of demos too. by far my favorite chem professor so far.
If you have to take chem, Scott will be your best bet. I personally just struggled with the topic of chemistry, which led me to barely pass. But I know that had I gotten any other teacher, I would have failed for sure. Out of all the chem teachers he is the easiest and I found his lectures very clear and well organized.
He might be the best and most handsome professor in UCSB. He always seems confident in class and can provide you with clear demonstration of the stuff he is teaching. You will definitely love his class. Also, it is very easy to get a high grade in his class.
I would recommend him to everyone who is planning to take Chem course
