Weekly group projects where you get to meet other intelligent people in the same major. Has great lectures and explains problem-solving strategies needed for homework. He is accessible outside of the classroom either during in-office hours or online (loves using nectir). Overall awesome professor, make sure you get to know him!
Pretty Good Professor, harder exams but will grade them easier too. Other aspects of class amazing
Professor Mirza has been absolutely amazing for cs24. Besides the smile she puts on everyone's face just by getting excited about certain topics, she is caring, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable in computer science. I truly learned a lot and I think she is probably one of the best cs professors in the department.
Really great lectures, always learned a lot. Definitely go to lectures, since tests are based on lecture material. Topics are not always easy, so try to take notes, and make sure to start labs/programming assignments EARLY. A good amount of work is required to do well in the class, don't let the good ratings make you think it'll be a free easy A.
Super kind and made class enjoyable.
Professor Chada did a good job teaching our intro ChemE class. He knows the material well and is really accessible outside of class if you need help. He did a lot of practice problem with me before the exams and it helped me do much better in ChE 5. I appreciated him bringing us guest lecturers to learn more about the industry.
Dr. Chada is a really nice prof who wants you to learn the content well. He always keeps you updated about assignments as well as where the class is going. HW can be tough, but it's in groups. The midterms he gives you plenty of time, though they are not easy. Make sure to do some extra textbook problems. Positive guy, you can't go wrong with him.
Shes awesome. Genuinely cares for her students.
As good as it gets in the CS department. We didn't have midterms and our grade was based on homeworks, quizzes, and textbook activities. She was very accommodating and accessible to give good feedback. The class was difficult but I never felt overwhelmed. Highly recommended.
Prof Mirza is super sweet and cares a lot about her students! There's many opportunities to get help. You can do well as long as you put in the effort.
Prof. Mirza is the the best professor in the CS department, no cap. If you pay attention to lectures, and do the labs, you'll learn a lot - the class is a little challenging for some people but it isn't designed to be more difficult than it needs to be. And Prof. Mirza actually makes lectures interesting and engaging.
Chada is super nice and really cares about setting up his students for their future. Video lectures are easy to understand and in meetings he goes through more example problems. Pretty much all group work. HW can be tough but Chada and TAs are accessible if you have questions. Midterm/Final is easy if you can do the problems from lectures/meetings.
The course is hard, but not with this professor. He explains things crystal clear and is available all the time outside class. Yes, He assigns more homework and projects than other professors, but these projects are hands-on. Being chemical engineering students, you already choose a challenging route. Why not make it more awarding by learning more?
She is a really great professor. Her lectures are clear and she explains everything really well.
Diba is a wonderful professor! You are so lucky to have her! Talk to her during office hours, she is a gem.
Quite a bit of work for a 3 unit class. Everything is done in groups, so your homework and project groups matter a lot. He teaches the class a bit quickly, but covers a lot of interesting concepts that we'll use throughout our undergrad.
perfect prof in cs dept
Assigned 3 to 4 times the amount of homework as other classes. Is very impatient while also very poor at explaining topics, which is a rough combination when you are trying to learn. Makes too many notation errors in his notes making them sometimes impossible to understand. Avoid this professor, it will help your understanding and your gpa.
Mirza is an amazing teacher and obviously knows her stuff. The homework and labs are average in terms of difficulty, but you should definitely put time aside to complete them. The tests were pretty hard, but the grading is very generous. Lecture is critical for success, while lab attendance isn't required/useless unless you need help.
Very enthusiastic. Makes lectures fun. Truly a must take! Easy class if you study, and she explains concepts very well and in a fun way so you'll be engaged. Homework and tests are straightforward.
Easy A+ if you are somewhat decent at programming, fair grading on homework and exams, plenty of extra credit opportunities, cheat sheet on exams, very friendly and approachable outside of class, allows pair programming on lab assignments, and often extends due dates if class is struggling. Take Cs16 with her if you can.
Go To Class. Do Your Labs. Do The HW. Take The Exams. Fulfilling all four of theses will most certainly lead you to Get An A.
Very passionate, great lectures. Fair grader, tests were not too hard. Super approachable. Looking forward to taking more classes with her.
