MUS 168K - The Musical World of the Grateful Dead: from Americana to Psychedelia

An examination of the Grateful Dead and its impact on popular culture, festivals and the music business. We study the Dead’s music from folk to improvisational rock as a creative Americana response to the political turbulence of the Sixties.
