Interdisciplinary - INT

Introduces institutional histories, theoretical and philosophical underpinnings and diverse pedagogies associated with the field of public humanities. The two areas that comprise the field, public scholarship and community-engaged humanities, are considered through reading and discussion of texts focused on questions of the public sphere, civic responsibility, communication, and community engagement. This graduate seminar will meet once per week.

Prerequisites: Graduate standing.
