CollegeProfessor Murphy is one of the best professors that I've had at UCSB. It was a cohesive class in terms of the readings and lectures that kept me engaged. The midterm and final was fair game and the close listening exercises/pop quizzes were useful. He cares about each student and is super understanding.
Alex was a great professor. He learned all 75 of our names and really made it a point to connect with everyone. His lectures were interesting and engaging, and most of the readings were also interesting. He gives hints on when there might be a pop quiz or an in-class writing assignment. Loved him and this class
This is the best prof I have had so far in my entire time at UCSB. Not only he gave us rlly interesting readings but also he was a great lecturer. 5 pop quizzes on that day reading that he would try to warn ygs before, 3 close listening, a midterm and a final. The readings r quite long for me, some of them r kinda boring but the rest was awesome!!!
Alexander Murphy is the best lecturer I've had so far at UCSB: caring, charismatic, and intriguing. He turned a topic I didn't think I cared about into my favorite class. Murphy genuinely wants you to succeed and will show you exactly how. Take Murphy, show up to lectures, and you'll end the quarter with an A a newfound favorite prof.
