CollegeDr. Thomas is by far one of the best professors at UCSB. He is very kind, considerate, and extremely passionate about teaching students in the Writing department. He cares about all his students and their success. If you can take a class with him, take it! He is truly one of the best professors here!
Professor Thomas is the best! The class is fun and deals a lot with gaming not just writing so its overall super interesting! Weekly hw is easy and doable and the end project is make your own game and an essay about it. No mid or final exam. He is one of the most accommodating, lenient, caring teachers Ive ever had at UCSB. Take him if you can!!!
This is a great class, especially if you like interactive media (which I personally do). There's a lot of homework and big projects (presentation, your own game, research paper) plus lots of smaller assignments. But the big ones aren't so intimidating because you do things in pieces through the quarter, and get help on the way. Highly recommend!
I liked this class! We learned about human consciousness and AI, and we used AI in ways I hadn't before that helped me do research (there is a research article) and also we used voice to text. A big thing is your own voice and style, authentic writing is maybe the most important for this class. Interesting discussions too, different opinions ok!
Fun class! Lots of writing, lots of cool movies. Learned about both. Recommend.
A very enjoyable course; the professor was very enthusiastic. easyA.
