CollegeLOVE! He made class fun to go to and super engaging. I always knew the best way to be prepared for class and the exams. I would definitely take Professor Bridges again!
Take a course with Dr. B. I feel like it's cheesy to say, but it will change your life. I took Families and his privilege course. Both were so good. It's clear he cares about students, the requirements are super clear, and he's just the best lecturer at UCSB. Seriously. THE BEST!!!
A great professor with detailed and quality-built lectures. He's attentive to your needs and flexible with assignments. One giant interview project, mixed with a midterm and final exam. Weekly textbook and lecture-based quizzes. This class keeps you pretty busy, but it should be manageable as deadlines are sequenced fairly, so you won't cram.
Loved this class and professor. It's my last quarter in college adn this was my last class. Honestly, couldn't have asked for it to be better. It's so clear Dr. Bridges cares about students, wants us to succeed, and still holds us to a high standard. It was hard. Easily one of the best courses I took in college.
I took SOC154 and 118C with Bridges, and he's one of my favorite professors! He's so funny and clear he's passionate about teaching & cares about students. Attendance is mandatory, but his lectures are interesting so I didn't mind. Weekly quizzes are easy, one essay that is challenging but beneficial, and easy tests if you keep up with course.
He is the best professor I have ever had. His lectures are very engaging and entertaining and I looked forward to going to every class. He has a very good teaching style that promotes student engagement without being forced.
