I had him for Phys 104 not 115a, but no option to select. Great professor midterms maybe a little difficult with the time but very fair final, about the time of two midterms so you have plenty of spare time. Both times i've had him I felt like I learn a lot and really understood the material. Great guy very approachable and good explanations.
It was overall a great class. He is responsive to emails and willing to answer questions in lecture. However, Professor made many math typos/mistakes in the lecture, the lecture notes are hand written with a rather unclear handwriting and there are some math mistakes in it, but its his first upper course so i think it will improve in future
Is a solid professor overall. The lectures are a bit dry, but the exams are fair. Be carful about the conceptual questions, they are a bit of a wild card.
Decent enough, class is a bit dry but he's a fine prof.
Said phys23, but I actually took 24 with him. Very approachable and nice guy. Excellent explanations for my qns during OH. Lots of advanced math techniques on the HW, butI learned a lot. The tests were very reasonable. Overall highly recommend. Very charismatic and friendly guy.
He's a good teacher overall, his lectures are alright but the sections is where you would get the most help (the problems in the sections require critical thinking but are optional). Although exams are heavy they are fair, the gimmick is that sometimes questions would test your ability to connect between different materials in class.
