CollegeChill guy, pretty good lecturer, pretty tough class. My class had an easy midterm and a difficult final exam. He offers plenty of study hours/coffee hours to help, there is just a good bit of material. Not too bad though. Enjoyed the class and he was nice
Matt is a great professor, and at least for my quarter there was a stark difference in difficulty between the midterm and the final with the final being unreasonably hard
He is a very strong lecturer. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but I had to show up early if I wanted to sit in the front row. Despite having so many students, he makes himself pretty accessible. There aren't many concepts, but especially on the final, he places an emphasis on really understanding the mechanics behind them, so be prepared.
Lang is probably the nicest professor I've had and he explained the topics in lectures very well. Even though I passed the class with an A, I do wish we were given more resources to study what was actually on the final, since I was doubting if I had even studied enough before taking it.
Lang is very passionate about teaching and he's a chill guy that wants to get to know his students well. However the final was pretty difficult and some questions were unreasonable. He still curved up above the department guidelines tho so thankful for that.
Prof Lang clearly is passionate about the stuff he's teaching, and he's a really nice guy. Would highly recommend reading the tophat textbook, and going to class every lecture to set yourself up for success. I would recommend going to office hours.
