CollegeSuch a sweet and understanding professor. The class was very manageable and the work was not graded too hard. The material itself was also very interesting. This class was just such a breathe of fresh air and the prof was so lovely.
He is the best professor I've ever had at UCSB so far. He's very kind and caring and really did his best to help every student to do well in his class. The extra credit opportunity helped a lot. Sometimes the lectures could be a little boring but this class never made me feel exhausted or anxious like some of my other classes did.
Super easy! Only went to class once after midterm and still got an A. For midterm and final papers, you get like 8 choices to write on so you're bound to know at least one! Only used the book a little for papers... Definitely take a class with him!!
One of my favorite professors at UCSB. I took his 136A course last Fall and fell in love with the subject. Assignments can be challenging, but the TA (Marat) provides great feedback. Overall a wonderful professor and caring person.
Best professor at UCSB! cares so much about his students and cares about what he is teaching. I wish I could take another one of his classes! Would recommend everyone in the sociology department take one of his courses.
Professor Whitehead is extremely passionate and competent. He cares a lot about his students and he is very dedicated to helping his students do better on their assignments. Lectures are thorough (however they are pretty dense and he moves fast) but he is very accessible outside of class and very helpful during office hours.
