The class was structured as 10 journal posts and then a 8-10 page final paper. Overall, easy grader and would recommend.

HIST20 . Aronova E A 3 Months Ago

Honestly my least favorite professor taken everl, 1st of all she doesn't let you pass/no pass for a GE which is ridiculous. Secondly she graded the midterm very harshly, and hardly provided any info leading up to the final. on the final she is grading harder and changed the test format from 1 essay and 3 IDS to 3 ESSAYS IN CLASS. Shame on u Aronova

Professor Aronova is so cool! I went to her office hours a ton and she was always so nice and welcoming. Her class was so interesting I would absolutely recommend. She's one of the best history profs I've ever had! Her prompts are vague but I really liked that it gave us the freedom to explore the topic however we wanted.

HIST107S . Aronova E A 3 Years Ago

I overall really enjoyed Aronova's class content & format. Her lectures were boring but attendance isn't necessary. She's also very kind and approachable. I agree with others that her prompts are open-ended and at times confusing, but you also get a lot of creative freedom over what you research & write about so I think it's worth it.

HIST107S . Aronova E A 3 Years Ago

Thick Russian accent with little text on ppt slides makes it hard to understand. She gives little to no guidelines for assignments and very little feedback on work. Grades on weekly reading response, midterm paper, presentation, final paper

HIST20 . Aronova E A 3 Years Ago

This was my first history class and I liked it! The material was genuinely interesting and organized. Her accent sometimes had me second-guessing a word or two but it wasn't bad. It's really important not to miss sections because it provides A LOT of insight into the material. The study guides were incredibly helpful for the midterms and exams.
