CollegeProfessor makes a bad first impression, was tempted to drop on first day. But, his accent is only a problem the first day, and he teaches things very clearly. You can choose to have homework included if it benefits your grade. Very comforting environment, ended up really enjoying the class and it really changed the way I think.
Intro to calc class yet the exams were mostly proofs. Mostly did proofs in class and rarely showed examples of how to actually do math. No practice exams. Homework didn't match exams. Homework due dates/submission was unclear. Scattered teaching style. There was a large curve up at the end. Allegedly the last class started a petition to fire him.
Took him for Math 3A and he made it almost unnecessarily difficult to understand any concept. His accent is incredibly heavy making him nearly impossible to understand. He doesn't really know how to teach, he just starts writing on the chalkboard and doesn't explain anything. After writing something down he won't explain, and just say "y'know?"
will 100% take again (ill fail)
Very difficult to understand, and unhelpful.
Professor Yang was nearly impossible to understand verbally. He would also start progressively shouting towards the end of class which gave me headaches. He didn't teach necessary math8 concepts like truth tables or different types of proof. You just copy his examples and memorize them temporarily for a good exam grade. DONT TAKE, save your sanity.
