CollegeIn my opinion, it was very easy. He extends HW's due dates A LOT. There will also be pop quizzes, so beware of that. His exams are practically identical to the practice exams. But his lectures are so boring. He just read off from the slides he copied and pasted from the math textbook. Having a good TA will help you pass this class.
He could definitely be better at teaching but he's better than most UCSB math professors. Always giving extensions on hw and provides outside sources on the application of linear algebra in the real world. Attendance is mandatory but sent announcement after the last class that its not going to count towards our grade, might just be this quarter.
Very boring theory heavy lectures. Typed out textbook slides. Very easy exams that are basically identical to the practice exams. He WILL complain about students missing lecture every morning and he will always extend hw deadlines. Overall boring but relatively easy class.
Very good professor. The lecture is little bit boring but he posted very informative notes on his website. The practice exam was similar to the real exams. Even though you get the wrong answer on the exam , he gave 90% credits for the steps.
Horrible class and big lack of support in all aspects.
Professor Atzberger is really good! He is super understanding and kind. If the class was confused on assignments, he would provide an extension for everyone! The final was a project which was really interesting to do and a good resume booster! He cares about teaching students skills to use in the industry, he's not just giving busy work. 10/10
