Prof. Ogbechie doesn't help you prepare for the midterm or final, you're basically on your own and this class depends on your TA. He has an accent which makes it hard to understand him, on top of that, he has a deep voice and starts to get quiet and mumble when he says longer sentences. He also lacks the mutual respect that students give him.

Not the most approachable teacher, nevertheless he is a fair grader and explains his lessons fairly well.

Prof. Ogbechie is very knowledgable and incorporates very interesting artwork and content into the course. However, he does not prepare you for the midterm or final very well which is most of your grade. The midterm and final requires memorizing 30 ish artwork ID's, information about them, and artistic analysis. Too much reading, just skim.

Lectures can frankly be convoluted, monotonous, and confusing. The amount of reading in this class is PAINFUL. Your entire grade comes down to the midterm and final, both structured similarly. Do NOT take this class as a GE if you can avoid it. It wasn't the worst, but it was more stressful than I liked.

IF YOU'RE TAKING THIS FOR A GE, DON'T DO IT. Lectures are boring, and he's low-key rude. He expects you to know everything he knows about the artworks. You will not pass the tests if you don't study, but even then, it is hard to study cause his slides are weird . basically this class gmfu. dont take it. Trust. Especially if you're a stem major.

Impossible to understand. Super boring lectures. The tests had nothing to do with what was on the review slides. Avoid this class at all costs.
