Decent teacher. Kind of aloof but he does care. Labs will be hard if you don't read the book(its expensive even to rent so i checked it out from the library). Group presentation at the end of the quarter. A lot of work piled up on us at the end of the quarter but otherwise workload was very manageable. Would definitely take a class with him again.

Do not take him for Tropical Meteorology (GEOG133)!! I am a hardworking student, but this class likes to stack up work on top of work. Look for a different professor. I enjoyed my first meteorology class, but this class turned me off from the subject completely. DO NOT TAKE!!!

There were so many parts to this class it was a bit overwhelming but wasn't hard. I found his lectures to be kinda boring but the material was interesting at times. There was a group project which wasn't difficult at all but I personally hate them.

This class had way too much going on. There were 3 essays, a group project, mandatory attendance, weekly labs, weekly assignments, multiple weekly readings, a midterm, and a final. Most of it was pretty simple, but it felt like tons of busy work. I didn't hate the professor, lectures were boring, but went weirdly into physics.

Prof. Jones is great. Easygoing and very accessible outside class. Test is easy, and homework is not tedious. The only issue is that the class is a little bit of everything: area c, writing, QNT.. While its good, I think it's better to be a bit more focused. Other than that, no complains. Great class, great professor. And I will recommend.

Very nice guy, will work with you if you put in an effort. As a non STEM student, this class was more difficult than anticipated. Assignments are tedious and the grading is fairly strict. Labs are very long. Lectures monotone and fast. Uses i-clicker and gives pop quizzes during lecture; take notes or have slides up in class. Exams based on slides.
