Assignments like the resume and research project were pretty valuable and I did notice my writing improving over the course. He talks a lot but is overall a very chill, knowledgeable guy. Grading criteria can be confusing at times but most of the time he gave credit just for doing the work.
Incredibly boring and long classes. Very disorganized, every assignment had vague grading criteria and it wasn't clear what he even wanted us to do. Grades more on how much work you do than how the actual writing is. Most of the class is a group project which was pretty easy though.
One of the best professors I've had at UCSB. Very down-to-earth and caring. Really allows you to explore different fields yourself and collaborate with others. Throughout the course, I was able to find and write about topics that I actually cared about. He gave good feedback on personal resumes and finding internships. 100% would take again
Doctor Huk is really kind and he was always willing to help me outside of class. He grades really easy and also helps you improve your writing. Overall a wonderful professor.
He is awesome and chill! take him.
