CollegeAmazing professor! Teaches 120A only in the summer, so don't miss it if you need it. Lectures are amazing, exams are fair with a clear and helpful formula sheet. Does not give A- B-, etc simpliy because they don't like it (90+ is an A, same for other letters). Overall an amazing professor. Also provides many insights on academic life in general.
Makes statistics VERY easy. Compared to other stats classes this is very manageable. Very clear teaching and provides examples of all problems that will be on exams. So as long as you learn how to do each of the problems during class, you will do good on the exams. And if you ever have problems, he was always able to explain how to fix it.
the lecture slides and the practice exam are really helpful for study.
Professor Miller is probably the best professor I've had in the stats department so far. I took 120A in the summer and thought it was going to be extremely difficult but professor Miller's lectures made everything clear and the practice exams were pretty similar to the tests and definitely prepared me.
Amazing professor! Professor Miller was truly one of my favorite professors that I've had at UCSB. They made lectures engaging and made sure that everyone who asked questions fully understood the concepts. They explained all the content and noted what would and wouldn't be on exams. Highly recommend taking a class with Professor Miller!
They are such a great professor. Gives so many resources to study from and the exam reviews are just like the actual exams. Exams are also pretty easy and they give a lot of partial credit too. Wish they taught 120B as well. Lectures were easy to follow albeit a little boring at times. One of the best professors I've ever had and highly recommend.
