Two thieves have stolen a valuable necklace made of gems of several kinds. They want to divide the necklace so that each gets the same number of each kind of gem. How many cuts do they have to make? In this course you'll learn the answer to this and other combinatorial questions and how algebraic topology is used in the proof.

Mans is goated. One of the nicest profs at SB but also impossible to understand at times. He goes very fast and often loses people during his lectures. But he's very helpful during office hours, which you absolutely should expect to have to go to. Loved his class, and thought I'd fail the day before the final but got a 100 on it. Surreal experience

This is a special topic class, so no homework or exams. His lecture was difficult to understand, not a bad person though.

The lectures were okay, but you should be prepared to do the reading yourself since some of his lectures might be confusing. The quiz counts for the majority of the grade so it's a little bit stressful. But overall it's okay. And he is a very nice person actually.

I admit that he could deliver his lecture in a better way, and his homework for this class is so difficult (all the graduate students think it is hard), but I honestly learned a lot. Also, he is super nice. Go to his office hours, ask questions, and he will answer all of them. If you don't understand it, ask it again -- he is super patient.

No lectures at all, we are handed crazy difficult problem sets and expected to figure it out, then turn in all of the problems. More work than all my other math classes combined, idk a single person in that class who didn't want to drop at some point. The prof words the problems so badly that no one can understand what they are asking. It' brutal:(
