Great and respectful guy. Dry humor, but in a nice way. Do readings & watch lecture & you'll be fine; no surprises on the Free response for midterm & final. Your TA will probably be the factor as to whether or not the class is good your quarter. I took this course Winter 2025 Great TA. Policy paper was in a pair & straightforward.

POLS196 was one of my favorite classes. I would highly recommend it for undergrads + seniors. Prof. Singh is super understanding and wants his students to succeed. Readings are really interesting and make for easy reads. Discussions are not forced and are always open and welcoming. Classes are student-driven and have lots of flexibility!

Professor Singh is clearly very knowledgable and passionate about the content of this class, however sometimes the lectures can be difficult to follow because what he is peaking about does not always match the lecture slides. There are a lot of readings for this class but often times he goes over them in class so you do not have to do them.

Professor is passionate about his work in lecture. Midterm and final exams make up 80% of total grade so lecture participation is necessary but content was super interesting!

Really a great professor - you can tell he loves what he does. The TAs were also awesome and so helpful. Study hard for the midterm and final bc it's basically your whole grade but professor and TAs give you the tools and help to succeed.

Great class overall, lectures can get a bit boring, exams are straight forward and pretty simple if you actually study. TA's are very helpful and lowk funny.
