Psychological science is currently embroiled in a theory crisis. Is this new? Or, has psychology always had a theory crisis? How are we to answer this question? And either way, how are we to get out of the theory crisis? These are the topics that we will cover in this class. Students gain firsthand knowledge of the current theory crisis literature, the philosophy and psychology of doing psychology, and generate papers, presentations, and discussions related to these topics.

Prerequisites: Open to Psychological & Brain Sciences, Biopsychology, and Interdisciplinary Studies majors only.
