Course is designed to provide a thorough review of the rules of French grammar and to situate the discussions within linguistic and cultural contexts, covering topics such as semantics, syntax, and inclusive writing. Explores linguistic features and political contexts of domestic and global varieties of the language. Additional foci include continued vocabulary enrichment, increased syntactic accuracy, and composition skills in French.

Prerequisites: French 6, 6GS, or equivalent (may be taken concurrently with instructor's approval).
